On October 10th, the first meeting between the junior researchers involved in the EIC Green H2 Portfolio was held, bringing together more than 25 researchers. Each project was invited to present its group of young scientists and the main topics they were investigating. During the meeting, the European Commission’s EIC Programme Manager, Francesco Matteucci, highlighted the importance of translating innovation into social and economic impact. Emphasizing the need for improved exploitation of scientific results at the EU level, the meeting fostered a vibrant network among young researchers across the 9 portfolio projects. Through collaborative brainstorming sessions, participants prioritized research areas like Green H2 upscaling and AI applications for focused future discussions. Proposals for upcoming activities included networking events and expert talks, with the next meetings set to feature structured focus groups and workshops, amplifying collaboration between young scientists and external stakeholders.
