On December 12th, a workshop was held for the young scientists and communication managers involved in the Green H2 Portfolio projects. Twenty-one researchers attended this focus group, which featured two expert speakers sharing insights on upscaling hydrogen technologies from lab to market. Leonardo Massa, a venture capitalist at Progress Tech Transfer Fund, discussed the role of spin-offs in commercializing research and explained venture capital fundamentals. He also introduced the Scientist Founder Hub, a resource database for exploring commercialization paths. Alberto Bucci, CTO and Co-Founder of JOLT Green Hydrogen Solutions, shared JOLT’s journey from a research paper to a startup, highlighting team building, intellectual property protection, and funding strategies. Both talks have inspired junior researchers in finding a connection between their research topic and the exploitation pathway they could pursue to bring it to the market.
