Third Young Scientists Meeting Explores Hydrogen Economy Policy Implications

On March 12th, the EIC Green H2 Portfolio hosted its third Young Scientists Meeting, Focus Group #2, coordinated by the OHPERA Project. This event convened emerging researchers to explore the crucial intersection of policy and practice in the hydrogen economy. The session, titled “From Policy to Practice: Exploring the CRM Act’s Role in the H2 Economy,” featured insights from European Commission Policy Officers Daniel Cios and Patrice Millet. They discussed the foundational CRM Act and challenges related to critical raw materials in the hydrogen sector. Prof. Johannes Lercher from Technische Universität München also shared innovative approaches to catalyst development for sustainable hydrogen production. Mariana Marques from the EIC Tech 2 Market venture building programme outlined steps to bring hydrogen innovations to market. Evelina Castellana of LOMARTOV concluded, emphasising collaboration’s importance within the Green H2 Portfolio.
